World Book Day 2023

World Book Day 2023

We have come to realize that how much of society’s good or bad, comfort or pain the society will enjoy or suffer are the products of the type of people the citizens put in power.

We all want things to change for the better, but things have invariably remained the same. The same people who have held power since before some of us were born are still the same people in power this day, or at least their very own children or their proteges, as though there were a monopoly of leadership, whereas there are great people, with great potential, born into this country every day. Why then do we have a shortage of good leadership?

They say Rome was not built in a day. Deep change, true change takes time. It also must start at a fundamental level, mixed in, like the ingredients in a cake from the very beginning so that it runs throughout the whole system and whichever part you cut to eat from, you taste only the goodness.

At this year’s Book Day, we showed parents how to raise the critical mass of people with the tools and the character to deliver our dear country, Nigeria. These are the young ones in our parents’ homes. Rough Diamonds that must be polished so that their glory and power will shine and scatter the darkness that holds Nigeria bound. We showed parents that they are the fathers and mothers of the beautiful ones Nigeria has been waiting for and shared with them how to step up to their targeted nurturing roles.
